Stainless Steel Venturi Cone

This fabrication was made for a client who maintains industrial heating systems.

This job took 2 days to fabricate and weld.

Made from 2.5mm and 5mm 304 stainless sheet steel.

This stainless steel cone fabrication is 2.5mm thick and measures 180mm inside diameter to 380mm inside diameter, 950mm long. It has 5mm flanges either end with holes drilled to suit an existing pattern. The flanges were plasma cut and drilled. The cone pattern was developed and cut then pressed to form its shape. The seams on the body were tig welded. The flanges and gussets were arc (stick) welded. Finally the welds were pickled with hydrofluoric acid to remove discolouration.
